OS Runners’ March Handicap

March’s handicap run saw 19 take to the sunny streets of Nursling.  There were some heavy legs after the weekend: Mick having taken part in the Portsmouth sprint duathlon  the previous day (a series of 3) and winning his first in the M70 category!  He joined Jan around the loop.  Baz had also done his longest marathon training run of 22 miles just two days before, and managed to post a time just one second slower than his PB.

There were no shortages of PBs in general though, with 5 being recorded – well done to Tony (43s), Tim (6s), Sam (40s), James B. (2 in a row; 39s) and Simon B. (4s) – some great running.

Baz further extends his attendance record to 19 months – can anything stop him?  Waiting patiently to take his consecutive crown are both James B and Simon B with 6 in-a-row each.

Don’t forget to come along to April’s handicap on the 28th as it will be the 5th birthday of the handicap in its current form (the first from our current HQ took place back on 26th April 2012) – more handicap birthday stats to follow next month.

Happy running,
