The Great South Run is branded as the World’s Leading 10 mile course. Having run it a few times I can confirm that it attracts a huge variety of runners, from Jo Pavey and Mo Farah to runners entering their first 10 mile, or even first race.
OSR have always had a good turnout and last year 28 of us took on the challenge and actually managed to come fourth, third and first in the Business Challenge competition – the trophies are in the cabinet behind reception if you just can’t believe this!
Last years motley crew with the trophies and plaques
The Business challenge is being repeated again this year and I would love to try and defend our title while having a fun day out on a fast, well supported, enjoyable course.
If you have already entered and would like to be part of the Corporate Teams, please let me know (reply on facebook or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you haven’t already entered, but want to, then e-mail email@example.com and I can enter you as part of our OSR teams – entry is £41 per person, payable to OSR once I have confirmed your entry.
The exact composition of the Corporate Teams will depend who enters (the competition is open to groups of Male, Female or Mixed – with the first 4 in each team (or first 2M and 2F for mixed teams) – out of a max of 8 entrants – counting – experience has taught me that it is better to have more than 4 in each team, in case of late withdrawals etc.
Remember – if you haven’t utilised them already you can claim £20 back from CSSC on 2 events per year – a great reason to join CSSC – https://www.cssc.co.uk/subsidies/subsidies/activity-subsidy-scheme/
There are also lots of other benefits to being part of CSSC which make the £3.95 per month membership fee pretty trivial https://www.cssc.co.uk/offers/
If you do want to join, they also offer a ‘member get member’ referral scheme, so if you put an existing members details on your joining form they get an incentive too!
