The Romsey 5 Mile Run is set within the grounds of The Broadlands Estate, once the home of The Earl Mountbatten of Burma. The surface is mainly tarmac with a short distance of smooth hardcore. The course is 3 laps of the estate making it one of the flattest 5 mile races in the county and as such attracts athletes from further a field looking for a PB time. This running event is also perfect for first timers just starting out. This year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary at Broadlands.

As with all races using roads and pavements there are certain hazards to be aware of. We have reduced or removed those hazards that we can. However there will still be uneven surfaces, potholes, bollards and kerbs around the course. There may be a water hazard as you pass under the motorway bridge on station Lane, please be aware of any traffic that may be using the road as you pass it. Through the housing estate in Nursling you will need to cross the road, please follow Marshall directions for safe crossing.
Unfortunately the course is not suitable for buggies or dogs.
